La Caciaia (sleeps 4) - 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen and living area

La Caciaia is a comfortable, three-room apartment and a perfect place for two couples traveling together or for families with up to 3 children. It is located upstairs where the original farm family members lived and where they stored their cheese.

Spectacular views from this second-floor apartment are of the panoramic valley looking towards Pienza as well as over the grounds and garden of Cretaiole! If you enjoy being up high with great views—La Caciaia is your perfect place to stay!

The country kitchen includes a cozy corner fireplace, a countertop area for food preparation, a “sofa for two”, and a large dining table. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare and serve delicious meals: an oven with stovetop, toaster, a large travertine marble sink, and apartment-sized refrigerator. The cupboard is full of dinnerware, cookware, staples, and utensils.

The master bedroom with beamed ceiling has a queen-sized bed, with an antique wardrobe and dresser to hold your clothes and travel items. The second bedroom, separated from the master bedroom by the living area, has both an oversized twin bed (almost a double, large enough for two children) and a regular twin-sized bed, with a small dresser and built-in closet. Extra blankets and pillows are provided.

La Caciaia has a spacious bathroom complete with built-in shower that has been custom-designed to fit within the original contours of the farmhouse.

For your comfort, all the windows have screens to let in the breeze and keep out the insects, and an electric fan is available during the summer.

The visually stunning terracotta tile floor and the wood and tile beamed ceiling date back to the 1800s and have been beautifully restored. Don’t forget to bring your slippers or warm socks.
