La Casa del Contadino (sleeps up to 6)– Three-bedroom, two-bath, spacious four-room apartment

La Casa del Contadino is the largest apartment at Cretaiole, and was the main living area of the farmers who lived for centuries in this ancient farmhouse. There are window views in nearly all directions from this Tuscan hilltop aerie—views of the magnificent Val d’Orcia, the lands and garden of Cretaiole, the interior courtyard of the farmhouse—and from the high landing you will be enthralled with the sunset view over the fields of Tuscany!

The availability of this apartment makes Agriturismo Cretaiole a perfect place to hold family celebrations, weddings, and reunions. Of course, booking early is a must to reserve the entire farmhouse.

This apartment has a grand country kitchen, with huge open fireplace and with its enormous banquet table can accommodate meals for 20 people (even more if you squeeze in)! Everything you need to prepare delicious meals is here: an oven with stovetop, a large travertine marble sink, toaster, microwave, a large capacity refrigerator with freezer, and automatic dishwasher. The cupboard is full of dinnerware, cookware, staples, and utensils.

This very breezy apartment, with its triple exposure, has three comfortable bedrooms, each furnished with roomy queen-sized beds, and one with an additional twin-sized bed. All have dressers and large closets with lots of hanging space and plenty of hangers to accommodate your travel wear. Extra blankets and pillows are provided in the room.

There are two spacious bathrooms complete with built-in showers.

For your comfort, all the windows have screens to let in the breeze and keep out the insects, and electric fans are available during the summer.

The visually stunning terracotta tile floor and the wood and tile beamed ceiling date back to the 1800s and have been beautifully restored. Don’t forget to bring your slippers or warm socks.
