This summer we spent a week at Agriturismo Cretaiole, in the countryside just a few minutes outside the town of Pienza in Tuscany. It sits on a hill, and almost every apartment has a view of Pienza and the surrounding countryside, one of Italy's most beautiful areas. Cretaiole is a 1300s farmhouse divided into six apartments, furnished in traditional Tuscan style but with newly renovated bathrooms. It almost feels like living in a little medieval community. There is a huge lawn, oak trees, an olive grove, a garden that guests are free to pick vegetables from and a playground area. [...]

Dear Isabella, Carlo, Luciano and Liliana, As I promised, I wrote an article about our trip to Pienza. It has been published in the Boston Globe, a very large newspaper with 700,000 readers in Boston, Massachusetts and around New England. As you can see, they included a photograph of Cretaiole and information so that people can contact you. I hope Isabella can translate all this for you and that you enjoy the article. We will soon be getting ready for Christmas and settling in for a long winter. We've been drinking your wonderful wine and eating your wonderful oilve oil.
